5 Stellar Tech Platforms for Your Tech Stack in 2022

December 28, 2021

Tech, tech, tech…I know some people find it incredibly dull, frustrating, long but I am that sad person who absolutely loves it.

So, I thought I’d share with you the platforms I have my eye on as being game changers in 2022…tech platforms that you may want to introduce in your own business.

But a huge disclaimer first…DO NOT (yep I’m being preachy) spend money on tech that you don’t need and will never use!

Side note: I’ve cancelled nearly £100 a month worth of platforms this morning alone because they no longer serve a purpose in my business. Do an audit my friend, now is the perfect time 😃

Anyhow, back to the ‘juicy stuff’. Here’s a rundown of the 5 platforms I’ve either recently added or will likely be adding to my tech stack next year.

1. WebinarFuel

I feel like words won’t do this one justice. One of our agency clients recently said she wanted to add WebinarFuel to her tech stack and full disclosure, I was initially not for the idea. She already has Zoom for live webinars and EasyWebinar for evergreen webinars, so I initially was against the idea of adding another into the mix. But I was swayed when I checked out WebinarFuel for myself. It will replace EasyWebinar for my client (still gotta keep that tech stack lean).

What’s so great about it?

Imagine if you will, a pre-recorded webinar that feels live (in a non-sleazy way) and a platform that comes with a level of data analytics I’ve not personally seen on any other automated webinar platform. (Yes, my geeky heart skipped a beat when I saw the oh so beautiful funnel of stats).

Tech Platform: WebinarFuel

WebinarFuel is a powerful platform and it’s still pretty much in its infancy. It’s definitely going to get better and it’s absolutely one to grab or one to watch if you’re not quite ready for automated webinars.

I’ve already signed up and will be utilising it to sell access to my new portal – Tech Made Simple On Demand.

2. ClickFunnels 2.0

Ok, so ClickFunnels in its current guise is very much a love it or hate it kinda platform. I personally still shudder slightly when a client tells me their funnels are built on ClickFunnels, but hands up, we still work with the platform in the agency – a lot!

Anyone who has used ClickFunnels will know that whilst it makes all the more complex features of sales funnels easy to achieve, it can be buggy and there are several limitations. In some respects it feels cobbled together. But this all looks set to be a thing of the past, as ClickFunnels 2.0 is slated for release in Q1 2022 and honestly from what I’ve seen, I believe this will be THE all-in-one platform to beat – watch out Kajabi and Kartra.

This 28 min YouTube video breaks it all down, but in a nutshell, there will be a much-improved funnel building experience, the ability to build out your whole website, membership/courses, emails, better collaboration features for teams and more. You name it, they’ve thought of it and I only hope they can deliver because if they can…well it will definitely change up some of our service offerings in the agency.

One caveat to keep in mind though…there is no synergy between current ClickFunnels and 2.0. so, if you’re already a ClickFunnels customer, you will want to start thinking about whether you want to migrate your existing funnels over to the new platform when it’s released at the end of Q1.

3. Passion

For anyone wishing to create an app, this one is definitely an interesting one.

Again, it was a client who mentioned this to me (I know, I need to up my game 🤣) but I checked it out and I see great potential.

We live in a world where more and more people consume content on-the-go via handheld mobile devices. Having mobile optimised websites is one thing but having an app can completely revolutionise the user experience and with Passion it doesn’t have to be a complicated or expensive creation process.

You can live stream, drip content, create communities, push notifications and more, all for a seemingly very reasonable price point.

I have to be honest, there is a bit of shiny object syndrome going on here – but if this is one I do decide to explore further, it will be in the second half of 2022. But that doesn’t stop you – in fact if you do check it out, be sure to let me know in the comments how you get on with it.

4. Descript

For those who don’t know, Descript is an all-in-one audio and video editing tool, with some really clever AI features.

I’ve dabbled with the platform before and I absolutely loved it and now that content marketing is a huge part of my digital strategy for 2022 and I plan to launch a YouTube channel – Descript will make its way back into my tech stack.

Seriously, imagine being able to remove all the ’ums’, ‘ahhs’ and ‘erms’ from your content at the click of a button. Or, making a mistake and being able to type in what you actually should have said and have the words spoken seamlessly in your voice – that’s the power of AI and the power of Descript. I love, love, love it and can’t wait to get going with it again – go check it out

5. Circle

Last but by no means least is Circle, the all-in-one community platform for creators and brands.

I actually stumbled across Circle earlier this year when I was looking for an alternative to Facebook groups. I think it was Pat Flynn I’d seen talking about it, but coincidently, soon after I discovered the platform, Digital Marketer moved their Facebook group to Circle and as I’m one of their Certified Partners I got to see first-hand how it all comes together from a member perspective and I really liked it.

Of course, being the geek that I am, I then decided to test out setting up my own Circle community so that I could experience the inner workings of the platform from an admin perspective and honestly I also found that user experience to be smooth, even though I then didn’t do anything with it.

In fact, similarly to Passion, this is a platform that I will likely look at re-introducing in the second half of 2022 – when I have more clarity, time and hopefully new team members to support me.

But I know many people are actively looking for alternatives to Facebook groups, where you aren’t stifled and limited by algorithms. Circle is an easy to use solution where your members will see all of your content and I therefore highly recommend it and wanted to share it here with you today as one to watch in 2022.

Circle: Behind the scenes

So, there you have it – 5 tech platforms to watch and potentially introduce to your tech stack in 2022 (but only if you really need to!!!).
